Car Sickness

You're ready to get the most out of the summer season, it's finally time for the road trip you and your friends have been planning for weeks. The day is finally here, the car is all packed up, but it's not your turn to drive and your other friend just called shotgun. Uh oh. You're stuck in the back seat and getting a little worried about it. Why? Car sickness. It doesn't happen to everyone, but it does happen. There is some things that you can do to help prevent it.

If convincing your friend to switch for shotgun didn't work, make sure that you are always looking ahead while in the car. Sitting in the front has less of a rocking motion versus sitting in the back, which minimizes the chances of feeling car sickness. It is best to avoid reading a book or scrolling through your phone, as that can definitely make the motion sickness worse. Hopefully your friends are good drivers, and driving smoothly to not cause the motion sickness to get worse. Thankfully, with Honda's Lane Keep Assist, the car will stay in the centre of the lane, which helps prevent any rocking motions while driving.

If the nausea is getting too bad, you can always stop by a Shoppers drug mart and pick up a bottle of ginger Gravol, this helps with calming your stomach down without making you drowsy. Hopefully by then you will have been able to steal the front seat. Car sickness is a major bummer especially if you love going on long road trips, but with these tips you should be able to enjoy your drives much better! Because you don't need to spend your time worrying about your stomach, you should be spending it having fun with your friends and seeing who can sing the loudest.
