    John Purkiss was born in London England near Wimbledon All England Tennis Club. John was raised in Sussex near the English Channel coast.

     

    John arrived in Canada to see Expo 67, fell in love with Canada, and stayed. John graduated from Western University and the Ivey Business School of London Ontario.

     

    John began his automotive career in Toronto and came to Brantford in 1981 to revive (a bankrupt) Brantford Nissan. John purchased CK Motors (a Honda and VW franchise) in 1983. CK motors were located on Murray Street along with Brantford Toyota. John moved Brantford Honda to King George road in 1987, the same year that he resigned the Brantford VW franchise. In 2003 he relocated Brantford Honda to its present state of the art location. Beginning in 1993 until recently, Honda Canada compiled an annual list of their best dealers, as measured by CSI, market share, capitalization, staff training and facilities; Brantford Honda has won the Quality Dealer Award 13 times. Brantford Honda is one of only two dealers to win this prestige award more than 10 times in all of Canada.

     

    John has been recognized by The Brantford Regional Chamber of Commerce for Entrepreneurship with the Business Excellence Award in 2002.

     

    Although John feels it is difficult to be unique out of thousands, he believes that through offering more choices and doing a professional job in all we undertake, we live up to our mission statement which is "going the extra mile".

     

    John and his wife have lived in Brant County since 1981. John and his wife have four daughters two living in London Ontario and one in Ottawa and one here in Brantford. And yes, John enjoys playing tennis.

    Mike Oakley started at Brantford Honda in 1999 and has achieved Grand Master of Sales status twice since being promoted to a Sales Management Position. Mike is currently the General Sales Manager. Mike has held several positions within the Brantford Honda dealership. Mike has spent time as a new Honda car sales person and a Honda Certified Used sales person, Finance and Insurance Manager, Leasing Manager and the Honda Certified Used Car Manager and was promoted last year to the General Sales Manager position.
     
    Mike lives in Paris, Ontario with his 3 children and his chocolate Labrador retriever Cocoa. Mike enjoys traveling to the Unites States to visit family and especially loves going to the family cottage on Lake Nipissing to relax and fish as much as humanly possible.

     

    Mike enjoys working with customers the Brantford Honda way that is customer focused sales. We are honest, competitive and considerate of our customers and value their long term business.     Mike Anderson has been with the Brantford Honda Family since May of 2009. Mike started with us as a young salesman and has developed into our Honda Certified Pre-Owned Sales Manager. Mike has had the enjoyment of helping many customers find the perfect vehicle for their families needs. Mike does this with the utmost respect for everyone's budget, lifestyle and time, as we all know time is the most important thing these days. Since becoming the Pre Owned Sales Manager, Mike was awarded Honda Canada's highest level of recognition, Grand Master status.

     

    Mike was born in Hamilton Ontario and at the age of 10 relocated to Brantford with his family. Mike has called Brantford home ever since. Mike played high level baseball all of his life; taking advantage of a College scholarship in New Jersey, USA. Upon Mike's return home, Mike played for the Brantford Red Sox for 6 years and knows what it takes to be a part of a winning team. Mike lives in Brantford with his wife Jenna and their young son, Caelen. His parents are Honda lovers, both driving Honda Civics but his dad's favorite was his Classic Honda Prelude.

     

    Mike welcomes all previous and new clients to stop in and say Hello. If you do so, he is a Medium Black 2 Sugar from Tim Horton's.

    Scott McCulloch or Scotty as he is often referred began his sales career at Brantford Honda at the turn of the Millennium. Before studying Business at Mohawk College of Hamilton, Scott was a personal trainer, which he still dabbles in, to this day. Scotty then changed gears to the banking industry in 1995 with Canada Trust in Brantford. Here he started to develop his "Customers First" approach with his clients. It was not exactly a "natural" transition from his previous careers to automotive sales, but after a couple of his clients at the bank (Brantford Honda employees) encouraged him to apply for a sales position, he made the move and hasn't looked back.

     

    Scotty is certified by Honda as a New Honda and Certified Used Honda Vehicle professional and is the recipient of several Honda awards. Although his specialty is in leasing and maintaining customer loyalty, he is never too busy to look after new customers and always appreciates the many referrals. Scott believes that the car buying experience should be made easy, transparent and enjoyable. Scotts customers appreciate the no nonsense approach he takes with them.

     

    Away from the dealership Scotty can be found golfing, hiking, mountain biking, various motorsports and spending time with his wife and dogs in Cambridge, Ontario. Scottys been known to have spent some time in hospitals too. In 2006 Scotty was lucky enough to receive a special gift from his mother in law, her Kidney. One year prior, his only kidney failed and consequently he was put on dialysis. Jean (now mom) was the 13th person to be tested, turns out she was a perfect match! He is always willing to share the details of his story to help spread the word about organ donation and pay homage to Jean. No mother in law jokes for this guy!

    Rob Buckley is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan who was born in Montreal and forced to move out of Montreal at a young age, because of this. Rob has called Brantford home since the age of 10. Rob has been with Brantford Honda for the past 8 years as one of our Finance and Insurance Managers. Rob has extensive experience and training in providing Brantford Honda clients with the best service for their purchase or lease of their new Honda vehicle or Honda Certified used vehicle. Rob details the transaction in an easy non pressure environment.

     

    Previously, Rob was a branch Manager with Beneficial Finance in both London and in Toronto Ontario as well as with Trans Canada Credit in Cambridge and Hamilton Ontario, before embarking on a career with Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls as a Credit Executive; Rob may have already shared some stories with you of his Casino days (nights). Joining Brantford Honda erased his long commute and allowed him to do what he does best....help clients with their financial transactions and spend time with his young family.

     

    Rob has 3 children who are involved with hockey and he and his wife Kelly spend all their free time at the rink (like a lot of our clients).

    Nicole Nitschkie is a native to Brantford who has traveled from the east coast of Newfoundland to the shores of the Texas coast, but her heart is here in B-town as she refers to it. Nicole has been with Brantford Honda for 8 years, Nicole started in the sales department selling new Honda vehicles and Certified Used Honda's. Nicole was very successful in the sales department, but when the opportunity for a promotion to the Finance and Insurance department was available, Nicole was the logical choice. Nicole is a team player who puts Brantford Honda client's front and center with fast, efficient and caring service.

     

    Nicole spends her free time with her newest best friend, Hank a golden retriever that she rescued from a terrible situation, lucky for us that there is a limit to the number of animals that one can own or she would have them all. Nicole spends time at her trailer in Turkey Point during the summer and happily baby-sits her two nieces who refer to her as Auntie Nini (it hasn't caught on here yet, but feel free).

    Ellen has recently married her best friend, Jordan. They have purchased a new house in Cambridge and are looking forward to making it their home.

     

    One can't mention Ellen without mentioning Winston, her beloved bulldog (if I was a betting man ? I'd say Winston had the final approval in the new home purchase).

    Randy Rive is a long time Brantford man and is in his 23rd year at Brantford Honda. Randy started in car sales in Edmonton, Alberta in 1982. Randy was a Manager at an Edmonton Cadillac dealer then moved to the largest Chrysler dealer in Canada; Crosstown Motors. Randy then did a 1 year stint at the original Brick and learned a lot from The Comrie boys (Brick Owners and founders), also attended The Brick U. Yes, Randy attended their training school! In 1986, due to family illness he moved back to the Telephone city. Randy then opened a waterbed store in Cambridge, Ontario that he managed until he felt like letting someone else be the boss. Brantford Honda was the beneficiary of that decision in 1990. Since 1990, Randy has sold new Honda vehicles and Honda Certified Used vehicles and was awarded many accolades by Honda Canada and Brantford Honda. Randy has played and coached baseball, hockey and football in Brantford. Randy has served as a two-term president of both the Brantford Minor Baseball Association and Brantford's own "Tournament Capital of Ontario" Committee. Randy has had the love, understanding and support of his wife Diana, for the past 34 years. Randy's son, Max and his wife Stephanie are local entrepreneurs, "a chip off the old block" a source of pride for Randy.

     

     Randy considers the thousands of customers as friends and a guy can always use more friends... Right???

    Originally from London Ontario, Brandon Bocchini spent over two decades in Hospitality Management. When Brandon and his wife Sherri decided it was time to start a family Brandon "retired" from Hospitality.

     

    Brandon's enthusiasm for great food and drink is rivaled by only one thing; great cars!

     

    Knowing that if he was to put his name along side a car it would have to be, dollar for dollar, the best car on the market. With that in mind Brandon approached Brantford Honda and hasn't looked back since.

     

    Brandon has been certified in Automotive Law and Ethics through Georgian College of Barrie and the Ontario Motor Vehicle Council (OMVIC). Since joining Brantford Honda, Brandon has also been certified as a Used Car Professional as well as Automotive Safety Technologies and a host of other automotive certifications to better assist his customers.  

     

    Although Brandon enjoys helping long time Honda customers select new vehicles (as they brag about how many hundreds of thousands of kilometers are on their current Honda); it's the customers that have never owned a Honda before that he most enjoys working with. Seeing the persons eyes light up and smile spread across their face as they learn the joy of driving a Honda is a thrill that never gets old.  

     

    Away from the dealership Brandon can be found spending time with his family, either playing with his son or wrestling with his two hounds or cottage hunting with his wife. On sunny days, if his wife is at work and his son is in Montessori the phone probably won't be answered because he is surely waxing his car in the driveway.

     

    Brandon's young son's first word was "car" and he tells his dad regularly that his first car will be a Honda, "because they're the best!"

    Kyle Jarvis, one of the newest members to the Brantford Honda Family, Kyle was born and raised in Brantford Ontario. Kyle graduated from St. John's College in 2001. At St. John's College, Kyle was a member of the basketball team and the captain of the badminton team. From high school Kyle went on to Mohawk College in Hamilton Ontario where he graduated with Honors from the Advertising program in 2005. During his time at Mohawk College, Kyle was named the creative student of the year, organized two of the social events for new advertising students to acquaint the incoming students with their piers. Kyle participated in running the Mohawk student advertising agency.

     

    During his time at Brantford Honda Kyle has achieved his OMVIC certification as well as Honda Certified Pre-owned Sales status. While he is newer to the job, Kyle has spent a great deal of time learning the new Honda product line as well as the advantages and benefits to Honda Certified vehicles, he is now ready and willing to help in any way.

     

    Kyle fondly remembers his first experience with Honda, as a child riding in his parent's 1989 Civic hatchback all the way to Florida! 

     

    Kyle currently resides in the heart of downtown Brantford with his wife Crystal and his puggle: Indiana Thomas Super bowl Saturday Night Fever Jarvis (Indy for short). We believe everyone had a hand in naming that dog!

Working alongside Honda Canada Finance through the remarketing industry, and now at the dealership level, Andrea's familiarity with Honda products and the financial services sector make her knowledgeable and well versed to sell the Honda brand specifically New Honda vehicles and Honda Certified Used Vehicles. Most recently, Andrea competed alongside other Honda dealership finalists and received a first place win for the 2013 Honda Accord Walk Around Competition.  When she is not working, Andrea enjoys being a part of her brother's Snowcross racing team, driving her Dad's Corvette and going to family cottages in Parry Sound, Kingston and Turkey Point.

    Chris Smith aka "Merry" or sometimes even "Merry Chris Smith" (a play on Merry Christmas) has been a Brantford boy all his life having been born and raised in Brantford. Chris has always been interested in cars, having purchased his first car at the age of fourteen, and being a people person this was an awesome career choice. Chris strives to provide the most honest and best customer service. Chris owned multiple Honda vehicles before starting this career and as a result has great product knowledge of the entire new Honda vehicle lineup and the Honda Certified used vehicles. Chris graduated from Mohawk College in Hamilton with a Business diploma.

     

    Chris has been working for Brantford Honda for almost two years. In his first full year at the Brantford Honda dealership Chris received the coveted Honda Canada designation of Sales Leader. The Sales Leader Award is difficult to get but an extraordinary achievement and is a great honor. To achieve the Sales Leader status one must maintain top tier levels of customer satisfaction, stay up to date on all product knowledge training and continually hit high levels of Honda vehicle sales.

     

    During Chris' spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Chris also plays competitive hockey, soccer and football. Chris has also played in numerous pool (billiards) tournaments throughout North America with the most recent being the Super Billiards EXPO in Edison New Jersey.

    Krista Pikula is an aggressive, passionate and personable sales leader with an honest and strong belief in the Honda Canada product line. With a real drive to succeed, this Brock University graduate frequently earns "top salesperson of the month" accolades from the local Brantford Honda dealership. This same driving attitude helped her 'Brant Crystal Formations' figure skating team win a Gold medal at Syncro Capers held at the Hershey Center of Mississauga in February 2013.

    Krista is an aspiring, young businesswoman, whom after studying neurology and psychology came back to her hometown of Brantford and immediately entered into the world of business. She entered the business world at a locally owned casual, fine dining restaurant, and quickly worked her way to bar manager and restaurant manager. Here Krista realized her passion for working with and for people and soon was invited to become part of the Brantford Honda team. This was a natural progression for someone who had ridden in family Honda vehicles since her infancy. Her mother owned a Honda Civic hatchback when Honda entered the Canadian sales field, and since then, every family car has been from the Honda line. Krista is quick to tell her faithful clients that her parents' driveway looks like a Honda dealership on Thanksgiving with a few Honda Civics, a Honda Ridgeline, a couple of Honda CRVs and of course the beautiful Honda S2000. Filled with enthusiasm at becoming a Honda team member, Krista quickly acquired her OMVIC license, while becoming certified in Automotive Law and Ethics. Since then Krista has driven herself to gain a vast skill set and extensive product knowledge to allow her to achieve excellent results for all of her clientele at Brantford Honda. She prides herself in being a Honda team leader that has the passion, knowledge, experience and timely advice to offer to valued clients.

    Krista was recently honored by Honda Canada as a 2012 Sales Leader.

    Krista openly shares this award with her faithful clients without whom it would not have been possible. Krista always remembers that this is a "people" business and her key to success is a sincere, caring approach. Family is also very important to Krista as they have offered her support and fostered her determination and good work ethic. Krista likes to spend time with her Boston Terrier, Oscar, when relaxing, and can often be seen taking him for car rides in her white Honda CRV. He is often the envy of other dogs while driving up for his doughnut bits on Sunday morning. She is often visited in the kid-friendly dealership by her two year old nephew William, who loves to sit in the new Honda cars and pretend he is a 'big driver'. "Honda, car wash" is his favorite outing. Krista always says, "You're never too young to love a Honda!" and that is the voice of experience!

    John Mouselimis aka "Moose" is a Sales & Leasing Specialist at Brantford Honda. John is one of the newest members of the team but also one of the most unique. John is of Greek heritage and loves Chicken Souvlaki and Gyros, of course. John's family owned and operated a Greek restaurant in Brantford for over 30 years, before they decided to hang up the ladles. John is fluent in both English and Greek language and loves providing service to clients of different ethnicities. John has a very outgoing personality and his number one goal is to make sure every customer is 100% satisfied!

    John originally comes from the hospitality industry, which groomed him into becoming driven in customer service. Furthermore, John studied Policing and Criminology at Mohawk College in Brantford & Wilfrid Laurier University of Waterloo, Ontario. John is a great team player and one of the nicest members of our team (his quote) at Brantford Honda.


    Aside from all that, he is tying the knot this Summer and is excited to start his own family.

     

    Some quirky facts about the Moose:
    - Finished 3rd in Ontario in high jump in Grade 6. (wouldn't be able to tell that now)
    - Has been to Greece over 5 times.
    - An absolute sports junkie (especially soccer and basketball).
    - Moose is an active soccer player at Soccer World Hamilton
    - Moose plays baseball in Hamilton during the summer
    - He loves, loves, loves Honda! (hint hint, wink wink!)

    Just 20 years ago Steve Jeles was approached by his high school automotive teacher and was told about a brand new program Honda was introducing. This program was an industry first. It would allow students to start an automotive apprenticeship specializing in Honda and Acura Vehicles, and was instructed by Honda Canada teachers. This program also allowed the student to accelerate his apprenticeship and most importantly learn the "Honda way."

    In just a few short years, after graduating from the Honda apprenticeship program, Steve passed his interprovincial exam and became a certified class A technician. This was only the beginning. Steve was now allowed to compete in the Honda Technician recognition competitions. This Competition would bring all the top Honda technicians from all over Canada and compete in different provinces to see who the best of the best was. In the first year of competing, Steve won his first provincial title. In the second year of competition, Steve achieved silver in all of Canada.

    Steve competed every year and made it to every National event till the program came to its close.

    A few short years later, Steve took the position as Shop Foreman, or Technical Director for Brantford Honda. He was also involved with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities where he developed automotive course material for trade schools and colleges in Canada.

    Steve went on to follow his passion as an automotive technician and trainer, and eventually took the position as Service Manager.

    In the two short years as Service Manager, and most recently Fixed Operations Manager, Steve has brought his knowledge from the "shop", and continues to apply his skills in serving Brantford Honda customers.

    "I believe in working hard and finding solutions for my clients, Steve said. Nothing makes me happier than to see one of our clients leave the dealership with a smile because of great service."

    Steve goes on to say, "I have talked to hundreds of people who work for different vehicle manufacturers. It makes me proud knowing how different we are from them, and the fact that I work for a great company that values their employees and the product they sell. I think about that every day I come to work. "

    Steve believes in not stopping and is looking forward to working many more years in service with Brantford Honda.

    Mark Waterhouse has been with Brantford Honda for 9 years. Mark began his career at Brantford Honda as a part counter salesperson and has since been promoted to the position of Parts Manager. Mark enjoys working with the great team we have here at Brantford Honda and making our customers feel at home by providing exceptional customer service. Brantford Honda customers are Marks priority and coming from a sales background, Mark has always made customers feel welcome.

    Carla Darville has been with Brantford Honda since May of 2008. Carla started out working in our customer development center, where she would keep in contact with our current customers, inform them of any specials going on in the dealership and provide information about any warranty updates available from Honda. Within months of working for Brantford Honda Carla knew she was really going to enjoy learning the ropes of the automotive industry.

     

    After about eight months in the CDC position, Carla was given the opportunity to become the service coordinator for our service department. Carla has been in this position ever since and has enjoyed it immensely. Carla assists our service manager in all of the day to day operations of the service department, and her responsibilities include answering service calls, looking after warranty claims, and dispatching the shop work including all new Honda's and Honda Certified used vehicle deliveries. There is never a dull moment in Carla's day, and she has enjoyed having the opportunity to work with our staff and clients more closely.

     

    Working at Brantford Honda has been a fantastic learning experience for Carla and she knows she will continue to enjoy her time here as each day brings new challenges and opportunities. We have a great team here at Brantford Honda, and its part of the reason Carla enjoys each day!

     

    When Carla isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing and watching sports, reading, and watching her favorite TV shows and movies.

    Tyler Creighton (better known as Willis McPhillis by Brent) was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario. Tyler has always been fond of the automotive industry and has thrived on gathering and retaining the knowledge needed to perform the services required in helping customers in their day to day questions. Tyler has always owned Honda's his whole life, so it has always been a passion to work for Brantford Honda , which he has been a part of Brantford Honda for a year now. Tyler has several years of mechanical experience working on cars and kept up on working with heavy machines when he worked as an Operator for Ferrero Canada. Tyler spent 10 years working for an antique dealer which has given him the experience needed when dealing with customer service and he is determined to make sure every customer gets the help and satisfaction needed when entering and leaving the parts department.

     

    Tyler grew up playing Hockey for the Brantford Bandit's and the Brantford 99er's his whole life and has traveled all over Canada and Northern USA for championships and has developed a love for the game as well as the greatest Hockey team in the world, The Montreal Canadians. Tyler enjoys spending his free time outdoors maintaining his own Honda Civic Si, cruising down the open road, hiking with his friends, tearing it up in Bocce ball and just spending family time with his girlfriend Erica and his cat Paco.

                    Timothy (Adam) Mckinnon (AKA  Nacho Libre, as he is referred to, by his co-workers) has been in the automotive industry for 13 years. Adam worked for an Burlington Technologies an automotive manufacturing company for 10 years, that went bankrupt back in 2008. From there, Adam pursued his automotive career and went back to school in his early 30's and received his diploma from Mohawk College in Automotive Fundamentals.

                Before joining the Brantford Honda team, as a service advisor, he was employed at Canadian Tire and Jiffy Lube for 2 years where he gained hands on experience and was a valued employee. Since joining the Honda team he now drives a 2007 Honda Ridgeline to make it official, and in the future, hopes to add a Honda CRV to the family for his wife, Amy.

                When Adam is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and two fur babies, Bella, a Jack Russell and Bessie, a Bichon/Poodle mix. During the summer you'll find him camping and enjoying the outdoors.

                Adam enjoys new challenges and has a achieved his Silver status for Customer Care Leadership as presented to him by Honda Canada and would be pleased to assist you in the service department.

    Ryan Darville (known as JR all throughout the dealership) began working for Brantford Honda 12 years ago in the Parts Department, and soon after decided to become an apprentice in the service department. Ryan then went on to complete his apprenticeship and schooling to become a licensed technician. Since then, Ryan has continued to expand his knowledge by taking courses through Honda Canada's Vehicle training programs in Markham, Ontario.

    Ryan is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys playing baseball in the summer months.  Ryan is a diehard Toronto Blue Jays fan and he tries to make it to as many games as he can through the season. If you choose to talk football with Ryan, he'll want it to be about the Minnesota Vikings (just don't bring up that time Favre threw that pick and landed them out of the playoffs). Ryan has enjoyed all of his years with Brantford Honda and all of the learning experiences along the way, and plans to continue doing so.

    Jennifer Ruysseveldt is Brantford born and raised. Jen started her occupation as an automotive assembler out of high school in 2001. She's continued her path in car dealerships since 2007 and has been with Brantford Honda since 2010, occupying the position of Customer Service Specialist for the Service Department.  

     

    Jen enjoys keeping up on the trends of social media like, facebook, twitter, you tube and instagram. Jen enjoys going to country music concerts and is excited for the day she gets to see her favs Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band again! She loves spending time with friends and family, especially her 6 year old niece whom she loves to spoil!  It's surprising but, Jen was only recently bitten by the travel bug and has been to Dominican Republic and Mexico. She can't wait to start planning her next vacation to the sunny south!

    Franny grew up in Brantford Ontario. Franny has been in the automobile business for 10 years, and she is proud to say they have all been with Brantford Honda. Franny has never been happier to work with such a fantastic winning team. Brantford Honda treats both their customers and employees as its top priority. Franny currently drives a 2005 Honda Civic with 163,000 km's and loves her Honda. Franny enjoys spending time with her husband Stuart and her 2 dogs Milo, a 4 year old Yellow Labrador retriever and Brutis, a 5 year old Wheaten Terrier.
    Franny also enjoys spending time at her trailer in Clifford, Ontario as well as gardening and reading.
